About me

My name is Anita Rosvall and I work as a watercolor artist.

Creating has been a part of my life since childhood, and over the years I have explored several different techniques. When I discovered watercolor, it quickly became my main form of expression. It is a medium that demands a lot, yet also allows for the unexpected. The pigments move freely, react in their own ways, and can never be fully controlled – each painting takes on a life of its own.

My inspiration comes from nature and the environment close to me. I live near the forest, with lakes and streams nearby, and this is often where my motifs begin. During walks, I capture light and atmosphere with my camera, which I later develop further in the studio. At times, I also bring my painting outdoors, where the process becomes more immediate and constantly changing as the light shifts.

In my work, I seek a sense of presence and an experience of the landscape – a moment I want to convey.
